Catalyzing the green hydrogen revolution with materials innovation
We are dedicated to closing the economic gap between grey and green hydrogen. While grey hydrogen currently accounts for roughly 2% of global CO2 emissions, green hydrogen remains four to eight times more expensive to produce. We provide the material breakthrough necessary to achieve cost parity by manufacturing patented, ultra-high surface area metal foams specifically for water electrolysis.
The power of 1000x surface area
Traditional electrolyser components, such as metal felts and meshes, often suffer from limited catalytic activity and mass transport resistance. Our proprietary nickel-based foams offer a hierarchical microstructure with up to 1000x more surface area (>1,000,000 m²/m³) than the industry standard.
This innovation delivers several critical advantages:
- Enhanced catalytic activity: more surface area provides expanded sites for the chemical reactions that split water.
- Superior bubble transport: the interconnected, highly porous architecture facilitates the efficient removal of gas products, reducing internal resistance.
- High-efficiency performance: our foams achieve high efficiency at current densities ranging from 0.5 to 2 A/cm².
Designed for scalability and integration
Our foams are specifically engineered for alkaline systems (AEL and AEM). They serve as a scalable, drop-in replacement for traditional electrodes and porous transport layers (PTLs), allowing manufacturers to boost performance without radical redesigns of their existing stacks.
By enabling electrolysers to operate reliably at high current densities with lower energy consumption, we help partners significantly reduce both CAPEX and operational costs.
To accelerate the global transition to sustainable energy, we are actively seeking:
- Electrolyser OEMs: partners looking for high-performance cell and stack components to optimize their systems.
- Strategic alliances: collaborations with component manufacturers to produce pre-assembled parts and accelerate market entry.
- R&D and validation partners: organizations interested in pilot deployments to test material longevity and performance in real-world conditions.
- Venture capital partners: investors for our upcoming Seed and Series A rounds to support our commercial scale-up and market entry.
Meet us in Tokyo! We will be showcasing our technology at the H2 & FC EXPO at Tokyo Big Sight from March 17-19, 2026. Visit our stand to see how our foams can transform your hydrogen production.
