Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Internship

Apheros is growing, and we're looking for engineering interns to join our team in Baden.

We build liquid cooling cold plates based on metal foams, purpose-built for AI data centers and high-performance computing, with a growing application in green hydrogen electrolysis. It's a small, technical team working on hardware that goes from prototype to real deployment, so interns here get real ownership, not busywork.

Mechanical Engineering Internship

You'll work closely with our R&D and engineering teams on the design, testing, and iteration of our cold plate hardware, from CAD models through to physical prototypes on the bench. Expect hands-on involvement in thermal and mechanical testing, and direct exposure to how a deep-tech hardware product actually gets built.

Electrical Engineering Internship

You'll support our engineering team on the electrical side of our systems. Think sensor integration, instrumentation, and test setups that help us validate performance. You'll be working alongside the same team building and testing the hardware, so you'll see the full picture, not just one slice of it.

What we're looking for

  • Currently studying or recently finished mechanical or electrical engineering (or a closely related field)
  • Curious, hands-on, and comfortable in a lab/workshop environment
  • Comfortable working in a small team where things move quickly and priorities shift
  • Fluent enough in English to work with the team day to day
